For the past two years, Kiabi has been organising a sample sale, the profits of which are partly donated to Cœur à Cœur, a horse therapy centre in Villeneuve d’Ascq.
“These funds have been used to finance the centre’s equestrian floors and shelters, as well as the sound system in the riding hall,” says Bénédicte, who runs the partnership between Kiabi and the association. “Our therapeutic sessions are aimed at children from neighbouring institutes who are disabled or suffer from behavioural problems, families with social, relational and psychological difficulties, as well as children, teenagers and young adults, in synergy with the educators and psychologists,” explains Corinne Derreumaux, head of Cœur à Cœur.
Each workshop, whether individual or collective, involves a horse therapist, accompanied by a trainee or a volunteer, in addition to the nursing staff. For example, a Kiabi employee volunteered to accompany the association during the Monday afternoon sessions. The association is looking for funds to co-finance workshops for young apprentices in Auteuil and sessions organised for the CMP in Villeneuve d’Ascq, which it had to interrupt during the year due to a lack of funds from the psychiatric hospital.
“Like Kiabi, our association is aimed at children, adolescents and their families. Health, education and well-being are at the heart of our project”.
