Massimiliano has been participating in Pink October for four years and, since last year, in its organisation with the Italian Kiabi Human Committee.
The Kiabi Italy teams are sensitive to Pink October. Perhaps because the majority of our employees and customers are women,” wonders Massimiliano, who is delighted with the scale of the event, in which more than 300 Kiabers took part in 2021.
In September, the Kiabi Human committee asked the teams of the 33 Italian shops and central departments to create a medium (photo, poem, video or audio recording) dedicated to breast cancer prevention. Their content was broadcast throughout the month of October on our internal channel. The operation raised 50,000 euros for ANDOS (Association of Women undergoing breast cancer surgery). “I didn’t expect such a tsunami of ideas,” says Massimiliano. We informed our customers by means of a display at the checkout and they generously contributed to the donations made for the operation.
